WHY DOES THE SITE HAVE NO DISCORD? will you add one?
While we understand that this might be a bit of a controversial aspect, there was a lot of thought put into this. For one, we want the focus of the site to be on our characters & the stories we create together. We are looking to create a little bit of immersion by not having such a powerful OOC tool. On Riddikulus you're encourage not to pre-plan your characters whole life & instead take things as they come.
Discord is a secondary community to manage as a staff member & be a part of as a member. Members in different timezones, those that are more introverted & busy individuals can find it hard to really integrate into a roleplay if most of the activity is on the discord rather than what they're actually doing with their characters.
Not having a discord doesn't mean that we don't want to get to know our members. We encourage you to utilize our cbox & OOC forums to get to know each other OOC. The old school way!

how long will each year be?
Each year is going to be flexible and variable in length. What will determine the length is member activity, staff availability as well as other factors. Keep an eye on updates and announcements from the staff!

can i play a canon character or can my character be related to one?
No, we are only accepting original characters. The events of the books never happened & therefore the canons of the books do not exist. With the exception of the Hogwarts Ghosts - those can only be used in threads as npc's.

is this site lgbtqia or poc friendly?
Absolutely we are! Everyone is welcome on Riddikulus. We do take place in the 90s so the 90s discrimination is still there. However the Wizarding World is much more accepting (except when it comes to blood purity, of course). Our gender neutral term for the wizarding community is Wix.
